My journey with Painting Pots happened completely by accident….I attended a party, ended up helping out, volunteering, working for the business – 5 months later I had bought it and have never looked back!!
Most days it doesn’t feel like I’m coming to work, I adore that every day is different I adore the constant ebb and flow of being creative, running a business, meeting people and getting involved in the community.
I’m passionate about creating an inspiring space where people of all ages can slow down, be mindful, take a few hours ‘out of life’ and enjoy being creative!
I have organised and presented The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt for 8 years, raising over £22,479 since it began in 2018 – a community event raising money for local charities, giving families a cheap activity to do and raising foot fall for Knaresborough businesses.
I pride myself on trying to create a relaxed, warm, welcoming atmosphere where every visitor feels like part of our creative family. I like to keep things fresh and exciting whether it’s offering new workshops or party options or ordering in new stock.
Every single painted piece is hand-glazed and fired right here in our studio kilns (we have three kilns – Diana, Etta and Melty!) before they are ready for collection.
We are eager to ensure we are accessible to everyone, especially those who may be neurodivergent and with hidden disabilities…we’re always happy to offer extra support or a quieter visit if needed.
I love the fact that there’s always something going on, so many incredible and quirky events. I adore the sense of community. I love being part of such a supportive, friendly town. The gorgeous architecture, riverside views, and local independent businesses all add to a special atmosphere—and painting Pots is proud to contribute!
