Hey, I’m Jo, and I’m thrilled to share the story of my cafe with you. No Place Like Home is more than just a business; it’s my passion project. I’ve always been a fan of The Wizard of Oz, and the name just felt right. You know, ‘there’s no place like home’ – it’s all about creating a warm and welcoming space for everyone in the community.
My journey began when I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my dream of opening a cafe. It’s been a whirlwind experience, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. What makes No Place Like Home unique is the love and care I put into every aspect of the business. From the decor to the menu, every detail is thought out to make our customers feel like they’re part of the family.
One thing that might surprise you about me is that I wasn’t born here – I was born and lived in Cyprus until I was 3. Who knew that those early years would shape my love for food and hospitality?
What I adore about Knaresborough is the community and the people. Everyone’s so friendly and supportive, it’s amazing. Plus, the scenic views are just breathtaking. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee to go or lingering over a delicious meal, Knaresborough’s got a special charm that I feel lucky to be a part of.
