At my last workplace I knitted for friends there. We joked about me opening a wool shop and made up names for it. Clare’s Knitting Pretty was the most popular! Fast forward-it became a reality! We are proud to sell exclusive hand dyed in Knaresborough yarn and other local hand dyed yarns-from Wetherby and York. We love knitting and want others to enjoy it too so we provide workshops for beginners to advanced levels.
The most popular courses are to teach how to knit socks and the other is Finishing Techniques as people say they hate sewing up their knitted garments-but it’s usually lack of confidence as they don’t know how to do it properly. Knaresborough is a wonderful place and it’s down to the fabulous people there, it’s super friendly and people always help each other. They are also great at supporting local – that’s great for independent businesses like mine!
